How to Use
Use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and breathing vapours.
- The surface must be free from dust, loose particles and soap residue. If required, clean with turps. Porous surfaces must be dry.
- Cut cartridge, fit nozzle and cut to size. Insert the cartridge into a caulking gun such as SELLEYS LIGHT SPEED Caulking gun.
- Apply with a caulking gun, forcing the product into the gap. Press into cracks or surfaces by pushing sealant ahead of the nozzle.
- Smooth the sealant surface immediately with the tool dipped in turps.
Limitations:
- May damage some plastics e.g. polystyrene and polycarbonate.
- Not for permanent water immersion e.g fish tanks
- Not suitable for use over silicones
- Not suitable for polystyrene foam
Handy tips
- Wet Surfaces: Can be applied to clean, wet non-porous surfaces e.g. metals, glass, glazed tiles – not wet porous surfaces e.g. concrete, timber. Remove as much water as possible, preferably with acetone. Keep the nozzle close to the surface so sealant contacts the surface immediately. Flatten immediately into joints. Adhesion improves drying.
- Skins immediately, maximum toughness achieved over several days.
- Paintable immediately with water-based paints. For oil-based paints undercoat first with water-based paint.
- Store in cool dry conditions, below 30°C
Clean Up
- Uncured products may be removed with mineral turps.
- Cured products can be removed by cutting and scraping.
